MLB Bag Policy
Navigating the MLB bag policy can be a bit tricky, as there isn’t a single, unified set of rules. Rather, each stadium is responsible for enforcing its own rules and security procedures. Although, a general rule of thumb is: most clear bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” will be permitted entry to the stadium. Purses and clutches are also permitted as long as they are no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″.
MLB bag policies can vary widely. For instance, Truist Park has gone the extreme route, with a complete no-bag policy implemented for the 2024 season. On the other hand, Citi Field is more lenient, allowing soft-sided coolers as long as they are within the stadium bag size limits.
