Michigan State Bag Policy
When visiting the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan, home of the Michigan State Spartans, it's essential to be aware of their bag policy. It's designed to ensure safety while still maintaining an enjoyable game experience. Here is what you need to know about the Breslin Center bag policy before you go to watch a game.
Breslin Center Clear Bag Policy
Under the Breslin Center bag policy, spectators are allowed to carry certain types of bags into the venue. Acceptable bags include clear plastic bags that don't exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, and small clutch bags or camera/binocular cases smaller than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap. If you need to bring in a gallon-sized plastic freezer bag (such as a Ziploc bag), this is also acceptable.
Breslin Center Purse Policy
The Breslin Center purse policy is aligned with the overall bag policy. The only types of purses allowed are small clutch bags that don't exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap. If the purse does not meet these specifications, it is not permitted inside the venue.
Permitted Items at the Breslin Center
Aside from bags, there are certain items you are allowed to bring into the Breslin Center. Medical necessities, for instance, are permitted, as long as they are in a clear bag. Other permitted items include binoculars, pagers, cell phones (but no selfie sticks), cameras, camcorders, seat cushions (without pockets, pouches, or zippers), and compact umbrellas (without metal tips). If you're visiting with a child, you can bring childcare items, but these must also be in a clear bag, as diaper bags are not allowed. Strollers are also allowed but must be checked in at Guest Services or with a platform attendant.
What Bags Are Not Approved?
Despite the clear bag policy, there are certain types of bags that are not permitted at the Breslin Center. These include backpacks, even if they are clear, and any non-clear bags exceeding the permissible size limit. Fanny packs, diaper bags, plastic bags, and purses that do not meet the clear and size criteria also fall under the category of non-approved bags.
